PRP treatment involves the injection of a platelet-rich portion of the patient's own centrifuged blood into the tissue. PRP (platelet rich plasma) is essentially a concentrate containing an extremely large number of platelets. By injecting the plasma into the skin or mucusa, it triggers an efficient regenerative process. Thanks to growth factors, cell division is enhanced, hyaluronic acid production is increased and the processes that cause tissue destruction are reduced. The tissue restructuring and healing process takes 6-8 weeks. It is important, not to use antiinflamatory medication in this period, as that can lower the efficiency of the process.

Endometrium ablation means the destruction of the uterine lining by heat. This procedure can be performed if the patient has heavy uterine bleeding, that is not responding to hormonal therapy. An initial evaluation and biopsy is performed in order to rule out malignant background of the bleeding. As after the treatment uterine pregnancy is not possible anymore, the procedure is only done for women who have closed family planning.
